Who Is The Tastemaker ?
I have been gone for way too long, but for good reason. I took a break from blogging to focus on my YouTube channel and discover who I was. When I first started blogging in 2014 I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to take so I just went for it. However, I began to loose my passion for it because I was lost as a writer. I thought It would be best for me to take a break from it and figure out what direction I wanted to go in. Youtube has always sparked my curiosity! I've wanted to start a channel since 2010, but it wasn't until the summer of last year that I decided to give it a shot. During that time I discovered a part of myself that I had ignored for so long. Since High School I have always made an influence on others lives with my style, how I did my makeup, you name it! In college I continued to set trends and even now I find people mirroring my image. I didn't wan't to call myself a trendsetter because I felt that was too cliche. The Tastemaker was born to show the world who I was. I had been so afraid to post myself online because I wasn't sure how people would receive me. Would they like me? Would anybody even want to watch? Those were some of the questions that crossed my mind. Despite my fear I had to become my brand and be brave! Now, with that being said allow me to introduce The Tastemaker. She is fearless and doesn't allow her doubts to get in her way. She wears what she wants because she trusts her taste. She uses makeup and fashion to be creative without any limitations. I am The Tastemaker and I hope my story inspires you to be brave and go for it!

From the outside looking in blogging may seem like one of the easiest things to do. However it's not until you actually get into it that you realize how hard it is. I have been blogging for almost 2 years now and it’s been quite a journey. There are so many different components to blogging that are fundamental and different strategies to make it grow successfully. Are you new to blogging and don’t know how to start posting? Have you been blogging for a while and want to grow your blog traffic? Today, I will be covering five essential things you must do before publishing your next blog post that will help your blog grow.
As a blogger we don't always use our own images and that is perfectly fine. What isn’t ok is not giving credit where credit is due. If you’re using someone else's pictures make sure to link where you found it. If you aren't sure where the original image came from you can always search the image in Google images to find who it belongs to. I'm sure some of you are like whoa what is the big deal anyway? The big deal is that if the owner of the image finds out that you are using their work without giving them credit you can be sued. So be sure to take the time out to give them credit for their work as you would want someone to do for yours. We all work hard and deserve to not only be appreciated but recognized.
The most important yet simple things are usually what we look over the most. I must warn you that this next tip is something many bloggers forget about and it takes less than one minute to do. Your readers are the core of your blogging business and what they say matters. The next time you’re about to click publish make sure you ask your readers for feedback. You want to fulfill their needs and wants so that they keep coming back to read your blog. Also, make it a priority to engage with them and reply to the comments they leave so they don’t feel ignored.
I hope these tips were very helpful.

Don’t you hate it when you see everyone wearing the same exact thing? I remember back when I was in high school I wore this dress that my older sister bought me. I knew I would be the talk of the school that day because I was killing it in that dress. Unfortunately, I ended up being so disappointed and upset because the worst thing that could happen happened. While I was walking to go get lunch with my friends I saw a girl with my exact same dress walking the other direction. We were both with our girls starring at one another in complete shock! I swear this was like a movie scene I wanted to edit. After that day I vowed to myself to either buy exclusive or nothing at all, although that was a gift. I’m sure many of you have had a similar experience and I’ve got the perfect solution for you.
One trick to buying exclusive items like a trendsetter is to shop online. There are so many people shopping in the mall so the chance of someone local having your exact outfit is very likely. I prefer online shopping for this exact reason because you can find items that are exclusively sold on that site. I’m sure you’ve been shopping online and seen “Online Only” hovering over a product image. You also have the option to shop on websites that are based in another country which is even better. I doubt everyone in your area is shopping on the exact websites as you and even if they are the chances of you seeing them are slim. If you still have your worries hopefully what I’m about to share with you helps.
Recently, I discovered this online fashion website called StyleWe that sells independent designer clothes. Don’t let the word designer discourage you because their prices are actually very reasonable and college student friendly. One thing I really like about this site is that they have something for everyone, no matter what the budget is or isn’t. You can enjoy prices ranging from $25.00 to $500, Now do you see what I mean? In addition to affordability, StyleWe has hundreds of exclusive clothing and accessory brands that many people don’t know about. I personally love buying items that I know are hard to get or limited edition. I literally get a kick out of bragging about how exclusive my jacket or handbag is and now you can too!
StyleWe has an awesome feature on their site and I’m just obsessed with it! Social Media is a part of our everyday life and we are liking, following, and stalking all of our favorite brands. On StyleWe if you find a designer you like you can follow them just like you do on Instagram. They will also suggest similar designers that you might also find of interest. I thought that was such a cool feature and pretty innovative for an online fashion site. One of my favorite designers on their site is RXP (shown above). They are one of the more pricey designers on the site but you I feel like it’s worth every dollar. I love their latest collection because it’s a mix between streetwear and feminine silhouettes. You are bound to standout with designs like this and you might even set a new trend.Lastly if you download the mobile app and you can get 20% off your first order! Time to make room for your new wardrobe.
Don’t forget to check out StyleWe .Fall is right around the corner and now is the best time to start working on your new wardrobe.

Have you ever had a “Bitch Stole My Look” moment? If so please share below I would love to hear about it!
With summer right around the corner now is the time to begin shopping for swimsuits. The only issue is buying one that doesn’t break the bank, suits your body type, and makes you look sexy. Today I will show you how to check all 3 off your must list and have you ready to slay all summer long.
On average a high quality swimsuit costs over $80 and that’s for just 1. You have the entire summer ahead of you and one swimsuit isn’t going to cut it. With your budget in mind I decided to look for chic swimwear under $20. Tidestore has a wide variety of swimwear for all sizes at an affordable price. Usually when you purchase a bikini you buy the top and bottom separately, but on this website you can purchase the entire set for less than $20. At this price you could buy multiple sets and have a different swimsuit for every pool party this summer. Despite the affordability these swimsuits aren’t lacking in the quality department. One thing I can’t compromise on is quality I would rather pay more for an item than save on something poorly constructed. Great news is that these items are amazing!
The other major thing we consider when buying a swimsuit is how it fits. All women aren't shape the same and therefore we aren't all wearing thong bikinis. However, no matter what your body type is there is a swimsuit for you.
Plus Size women aren’t all shaped the same either so be sure to follow the tips above as they apply. A cutout monokini like the one shown below is perfect to show off all your sexycurves this summer. I am a firm believe that what you wear has a lot to do with how you feel. These two swimsuits are guaranteed to give the sex appeal you want this summer. If you aren’t comfortable showing a lot of skin despite what flatters your body type then give a color block monokini a try. A cover up is also a very sexy way to show just enough without baring too much.
I hope these tips were helpful and if so be sure to pin this to your summer Pinterest board. Be sure to visit Tidestore.com and check out all the chic swimsuits they have available. If you are a college student that lives by a strict budget or if you just prefer to save money then this online store ideal for you. Remember your money looks better in your bank account so be sure to save your money this summer and head over to Tidestore.com! P.S. they ship internationally so none of my readers are left out

Conquering a fear has to be one of the greatest feelings you can ever have, which is why I'm always pushing you to conquer yours. Unfortunately, I haven’t been as fearless as I claim to be and I have to live my brand right? Recently I challenged my fear of modeling, because somehow in a world full of selfies I’m camera shy. Well let me be more specific I was afraid of standing in front of someone else taking pictures of me. When I originally thought about starting a blog I didn’t want to do a style blog due to this fear. My goal then and now is to inspire others to be themselves and take risks. I put on my fearless cape and set up my first street style shoot. I chose this really cool spot in Downtown Los Angeles which reminded me of Drake’s Hot Line Bling music video. The night of my photo shoot my nerves were all over the place because I have a horrible habit of overthinking things. I arrived at the location first and I met with the photographer shortly after. He was really nice and made me feel comfortable, but it took me a while to just “relax”. Apparently I was putting on some kind of show because I created a crowd of about 15 people. I had to just block them out and focus on the lens as though I was at home looking in the mirror. I had such a good time doing this photo shoot and I can’t wait to do more of them! Trying anything can be scary but the best things in life come at the end of your fears. I commend every style blogger and any blogger out there to really because we all put in a lot of hard work. I hope this has inspired someone to do something they have been too afraid to try and remember tojust relax!

Have you ever felt like you never have enough room in your closet ? A clothing rack is such a great way to store your wardrobe. Take some of your favorite clothes, bags, and shoes and put them on display. Not only does this give you more closet space, but it's also a great touch to your room decor.
Every It Girl deserves a shoe wall. I know you're thinking it's so expensive how could ever afford one. Luckily, you don't have to spend a ton of money to create this chic shoe display. In fact it's really easy to make and you don't need to be a handy lady. Put your favorite shoes on display with a chic shoe wall.
Contrary to popular belief bookcases aren't for books at all. If you don't feel like hanging up floating wall shelves then bookcases are a great alternative. You can store shoes, bags, and ofcourse clothes.
If your closet is full and your drawers are stuffed, adding another clothing rod is ideal. You will instantly expand your closet and add much needed space.
Hangers are a thing in the past! There is now a unique and affordable way to hand up your clothes, bags, and even your jewelry. Wall hooks have been around forever and normally you see them in the front of the house for everyone to hang their coats on. Now you can implement the same idea throughout your room. Do you remember the times when you were true to yourself? Are you true to yourself, or do you fall victim to who people say you should be ? I believe it's so important to listen to yourself and do things that make YOU happy. Everyone is made differently and often times when you show just how different you are people don't know how to take that. I have had so many people tell me not to wear something because they couldn't see my vision. Each time I rebelled and wore what I felt looked good to me. I executed my look so well that months later they were all over it. Reality is there are 3 types of people in this world. You are either a innovator. a follower, or a lagger. The only question you have to ask yourself is where do you fall. I encourage you to wear whatever you want. Every trend that someone is wearing today was created by someone brave enough to wear it when no one would dare. You see It takes people like you to create the style everyone else will soon obsess over. Allow yourself to be who you were meant to be, sure you will experience the nay sayers but who cares. So what if people don't like what you are wearing now, they'll copy your entire look before you're on to the next best thing. The next time someone has something negative to say about your style, Just remember It's better to be stolen from than to steal. What trends will they steal from you this year?

Spring is just around the corner and that means so is the rainy season. Just because it's a rainy day doesn't mean you can't look fashionable. I actually love dressing for rainy days because it's an opportunity to brighten up the day when it seems you’re in a sea of grey.
On rainy days you always want to be comfortable so take your favorite flowy top like this tan one and pair it with your favorite pair of jeans. Add a causal watch like this one by Fossil and some gold earrings to dress up the outfit a bit.
This black rain jacket doesn’t look that exciting from the front but the back of it is what makes it super cute for rainy days. I love that it’s long too to give you extra coverage. These olive green Hunter Boots are really cute too because of the extra embellishment of the tan buckle; the little extra touch goes a long way.
Last but not least, a fun umbrella is so necessary for wet weather. Felix Rey co-founders Lily Raffii (Lily Raffii Band after marrying Doug Band) and Sulaika Zarrouk designed this umbrella that brings a fun vibe to brighten any cloudy day!

Yeezy Season 3 Review
Kanye West isn't the most beloved man in the world but I must say he is the most resilient. I have been a Kanye fan since he was wearing pink polo shirts and Louis Vuitton backpacks, and one thing I can say about him is that he's a leader. His ability to say something and then literally make it happen is quite admirable. I remember a few years ago ( 3 years to be exact) , during a interview with Zane Lowe he spoke about this moment. He said in 5 to 10 years people would look back at that interview and say " He called that, He called that ...", And here we are only 3 years post interview watching him make it all happen. Last year his Yeezy season 1 was the most viewed show surpassing Chanel! I'm not sure how close you follow fashion but everyone knows how huge an influence Chanel has, so it's safe to say it was a big deal. Kanye had his eyes set on making Yeezy Season 3 an experience no one will ever forget. The show was epic and Not only did he present a fashion show at Madison Square Garden, but he also had a listening party. The entire Arena was filled with fans, mega celebrities, and ofcourse his family. As with all things Kanye there were mixed feelings about the show and its clothing. I heard some people say it looks like something a bum would wear, or that it looks like they've all just got done fighting. Although I don't like every piece in the fashion show, there are 9 looks that I would love to wear. The styling isn't what I personally would go with either. I'm not a sheer tights kind of girl. Distressed anything however ,is right up my alley! If you would like to see what's worth buying from the Yeezy Season 3 collection check out the slideshow below.
My #1 pick out of the collection is this 2 piece sweater and skirt co-ord. I would love to wear something like this during the fall with a long duster coat and heeled booties. You can always mix and match the pieces with other items in your wardrobe like jeans with the distressed sweater top. I could see my self wearing the skirt with a leather Moto jacket and my favorite graphic t.
The slideshow above features my favorite pieces from Yeezy Season 3. I'm so proud of Kanye and his accomplishments. If there is one thing that anyone can learn from Kanye, it's to never give up on what you believe in. Understand that opinions can not stop you. only you can stop you.
What Are Your Thoughts on Yeezy Season 3?
I would love to hear what you guys think about this epic fashion show!

They're Going To Talk Anyways So Own It
By: Dominique Overton
Judgement day seems to be everyday, there is always someone talking about someone doing something. We have all witnessed people that we think are amazing get bashed by others. I think Rihanna is beautiful, talented, and very fashionable whereas others think she can't sing a lick and her forehead is too big. The best piece of advice that I can give anyone is to own your "flaws" and don't worry about what everyone has to say.I know what you’re saying, “It’s not that easy." I'm here to tell you that is that easy and it gets easier once you've done it for a while. There are so many amazing people in the world but not all us know it because we let others convince us otherwise. If no one else has told you yet then I'll be the first to you are amazing and greatness is within in you, flaws and all. I challenge you to take at least one of your flaws and own it like never before. The most admirable people in the world are the ones who know they aren’t perfect and don’t care to be. They aren’t afraid to tell you this is who I am and I love every bit of it. Your opinion has to matter more than the opinions of others because truth is they aren’t perfect either. Now go be awesome and don't forget to OWN IT!
In a world where mediocracy is celebrated, individualism can be hard to accept or even understand. Trends are fun and I’ve dabbled in a few of them just like everyone else, but I’ve always made it my own. I look on social media and everyone looks the same wearing bomber jackets, Adidas superstar sneakers, and anything with earth tones. I do like these looks but once you see it so much it becomes a bit of a bore. Amid this “Me Too” frenzy Dennaya Famous maintains to not only march to the beat of her own drum, but she owns it too! She mixes menswear, vintage, and feminine pieces together for a look you simply can’t imitate. The most admirable thing about Dennaya is her fearlessness when it comes to what she chooses to wear. She is so true to herself and You can see that when you look at her. Famous was recently featured on NastyGal Santa Monica's instagram which says a lot. . Dennaya is sure to live up to her last name, Famous. Find out how just how she does it in today's interview of Rebel To Know.
Let's start off with where you are from? Give us a little backstory about yourself, Beyond just your style.
I hail from the least expected place a creative soul would rest, Las Vegas where I was born and raised and also began my career in fashion along side my brother Darion Famous.
When I look online and even when I go out everyone looks exactly the same, even the Instagram selfies are clones. How do you manage to stand out and stay true yourself?
I’ve really learned who I am as a woman and what I like (emphasis on I), so I’m not really looking for what the next chick is rocking I’m simply doing me. I believe that keeps me pure and authentic.
Your style is so unique and switches up a lot, How would you describe your style?
I only wear what makes me feel good one day it might be sneakers and jeans the next day it could be a dress and heels, but if I had to put a description to my style I would definitely say it’s girly meets tomboy.
Based on your outfits it's safe to say you are a beast when it comes to recreating clothes. What's do you typically use? What prompts you to make D.I.Y.'s ?
I’m great with scissors and a razor blade those are the only tools I use. I chose the D.I.Y. method because without that extra flair most clothes are boring to me.
I love all of the areas you shoot in. How do you go about picking a place to take your photos? Where was your favorite place to shoot?
Whenever I’m out my eyes are always scouting locations because my grind is that serious, most of the time I will snap a photo of the location and save it for the perfect outfit.
I've always said that music and fashion go hand in hand. What's on your playlists right now?
Right now I’m obsessed with Future and Travis Scott
We live in a world where we are constantly being judged. Social media trolls are the worst and critique everything. How do you take them on?
I don’t! I know I’m putting myself on a platform to be judged and that’s that. My mantra is say what you want in these comments I’m slaying, you commenting.
What advice would you give to someone who's afraid to step out and dress for themselves instead of others?
At the end of the day you have to do what makes you happy at all times. When you step out into the world and aim to put your best foot forward style wise it’s has to be authentically yours or people are going to see right through it.
