Conquering a fear has to be one of the greatest feelings you can ever have, which is why I'm always pushing you to conquer yours. Unfortunately, I haven’t been as fearless as I claim to be and I have to live my brand right? Recently I challenged my fear of modeling, because somehow in a world full of selfies I’m camera shy. Well let me be more specific I was afraid of standing in front of someone else taking pictures of me. When I originally thought about starting a blog I didn’t want to do a style blog due to this fear. My goal then and now is to inspire others to be themselves and take risks. I put on my fearless cape and set up my first street style shoot. I chose this really cool spot in Downtown Los Angeles which reminded me of Drake’s Hot Line Bling music video. The night of my photo shoot my nerves were all over the place because I have a horrible habit of overthinking things. I arrived at the location first and I met with the photographer shortly after. He was really nice and made me feel comfortable, but it took me a while to just “relax”. Apparently I was putting on some kind of show because I created a crowd of about 15 people. I had to just block them out and focus on the lens as though I was at home looking in the mirror. I had such a good time doing this photo shoot and I can’t wait to do more of them! Trying anything can be scary but the best things in life come at the end of your fears. I commend every style blogger and any blogger out there to really because we all put in a lot of hard work. I hope this has inspired someone to do something they have been too afraid to try and remember tojust relax!

Do you remember the times when you were true to yourself? Are you true to yourself, or do you fall victim to who people say you should be ? I believe it's so important to listen to yourself and do things that make YOU happy. Everyone is made differently and often times when you show just how different you are people don't know how to take that. I have had so many people tell me not to wear something because they couldn't see my vision. Each time I rebelled and wore what I felt looked good to me. I executed my look so well that months later they were all over it. Reality is there are 3 types of people in this world. You are either a innovator. a follower, or a lagger. The only question you have to ask yourself is where do you fall. I encourage you to wear whatever you want. Every trend that someone is wearing today was created by someone brave enough to wear it when no one would dare. You see It takes people like you to create the style everyone else will soon obsess over. Allow yourself to be who you were meant to be, sure you will experience the nay sayers but who cares. So what if people don't like what you are wearing now, they'll copy your entire look before you're on to the next best thing. The next time someone has something negative to say about your style, Just remember It's better to be stolen from than to steal. What trends will they steal from you this year?

Spring is just around the corner and that means so is the rainy season. Just because it's a rainy day doesn't mean you can't look fashionable. I actually love dressing for rainy days because it's an opportunity to brighten up the day when it seems you’re in a sea of grey.
On rainy days you always want to be comfortable so take your favorite flowy top like this tan one and pair it with your favorite pair of jeans. Add a causal watch like this one by Fossil and some gold earrings to dress up the outfit a bit.
This black rain jacket doesn’t look that exciting from the front but the back of it is what makes it super cute for rainy days. I love that it’s long too to give you extra coverage. These olive green Hunter Boots are really cute too because of the extra embellishment of the tan buckle; the little extra touch goes a long way.
Last but not least, a fun umbrella is so necessary for wet weather. Felix Rey co-founders Lily Raffii (Lily Raffii Band after marrying Doug Band) and Sulaika Zarrouk designed this umbrella that brings a fun vibe to brighten any cloudy day!

Yeezy Season 3 Review
Kanye West isn't the most beloved man in the world but I must say he is the most resilient. I have been a Kanye fan since he was wearing pink polo shirts and Louis Vuitton backpacks, and one thing I can say about him is that he's a leader. His ability to say something and then literally make it happen is quite admirable. I remember a few years ago ( 3 years to be exact) , during a interview with Zane Lowe he spoke about this moment. He said in 5 to 10 years people would look back at that interview and say " He called that, He called that ...", And here we are only 3 years post interview watching him make it all happen. Last year his Yeezy season 1 was the most viewed show surpassing Chanel! I'm not sure how close you follow fashion but everyone knows how huge an influence Chanel has, so it's safe to say it was a big deal. Kanye had his eyes set on making Yeezy Season 3 an experience no one will ever forget. The show was epic and Not only did he present a fashion show at Madison Square Garden, but he also had a listening party. The entire Arena was filled with fans, mega celebrities, and ofcourse his family. As with all things Kanye there were mixed feelings about the show and its clothing. I heard some people say it looks like something a bum would wear, or that it looks like they've all just got done fighting. Although I don't like every piece in the fashion show, there are 9 looks that I would love to wear. The styling isn't what I personally would go with either. I'm not a sheer tights kind of girl. Distressed anything however ,is right up my alley! If you would like to see what's worth buying from the Yeezy Season 3 collection check out the slideshow below.
My #1 pick out of the collection is this 2 piece sweater and skirt co-ord. I would love to wear something like this during the fall with a long duster coat and heeled booties. You can always mix and match the pieces with other items in your wardrobe like jeans with the distressed sweater top. I could see my self wearing the skirt with a leather Moto jacket and my favorite graphic t.
The slideshow above features my favorite pieces from Yeezy Season 3. I'm so proud of Kanye and his accomplishments. If there is one thing that anyone can learn from Kanye, it's to never give up on what you believe in. Understand that opinions can not stop you. only you can stop you.
What Are Your Thoughts on Yeezy Season 3?
I would love to hear what you guys think about this epic fashion show!

They're Going To Talk Anyways So Own It
By: Dominique Overton
Judgement day seems to be everyday, there is always someone talking about someone doing something. We have all witnessed people that we think are amazing get bashed by others. I think Rihanna is beautiful, talented, and very fashionable whereas others think she can't sing a lick and her forehead is too big. The best piece of advice that I can give anyone is to own your "flaws" and don't worry about what everyone has to say.I know what you’re saying, “It’s not that easy." I'm here to tell you that is that easy and it gets easier once you've done it for a while. There are so many amazing people in the world but not all us know it because we let others convince us otherwise. If no one else has told you yet then I'll be the first to you are amazing and greatness is within in you, flaws and all. I challenge you to take at least one of your flaws and own it like never before. The most admirable people in the world are the ones who know they aren’t perfect and don’t care to be. They aren’t afraid to tell you this is who I am and I love every bit of it. Your opinion has to matter more than the opinions of others because truth is they aren’t perfect either. Now go be awesome and don't forget to OWN IT!
In a world where mediocracy is celebrated, individualism can be hard to accept or even understand. Trends are fun and I’ve dabbled in a few of them just like everyone else, but I’ve always made it my own. I look on social media and everyone looks the same wearing bomber jackets, Adidas superstar sneakers, and anything with earth tones. I do like these looks but once you see it so much it becomes a bit of a bore. Amid this “Me Too” frenzy Dennaya Famous maintains to not only march to the beat of her own drum, but she owns it too! She mixes menswear, vintage, and feminine pieces together for a look you simply can’t imitate. The most admirable thing about Dennaya is her fearlessness when it comes to what she chooses to wear. She is so true to herself and You can see that when you look at her. Famous was recently featured on NastyGal Santa Monica's instagram which says a lot. . Dennaya is sure to live up to her last name, Famous. Find out how just how she does it in today's interview of Rebel To Know.
Let's start off with where you are from? Give us a little backstory about yourself, Beyond just your style.
I hail from the least expected place a creative soul would rest, Las Vegas where I was born and raised and also began my career in fashion along side my brother Darion Famous.
When I look online and even when I go out everyone looks exactly the same, even the Instagram selfies are clones. How do you manage to stand out and stay true yourself?
I’ve really learned who I am as a woman and what I like (emphasis on I), so I’m not really looking for what the next chick is rocking I’m simply doing me. I believe that keeps me pure and authentic.
Your style is so unique and switches up a lot, How would you describe your style?
I only wear what makes me feel good one day it might be sneakers and jeans the next day it could be a dress and heels, but if I had to put a description to my style I would definitely say it’s girly meets tomboy.
Based on your outfits it's safe to say you are a beast when it comes to recreating clothes. What's do you typically use? What prompts you to make D.I.Y.'s ?
I’m great with scissors and a razor blade those are the only tools I use. I chose the D.I.Y. method because without that extra flair most clothes are boring to me.
I love all of the areas you shoot in. How do you go about picking a place to take your photos? Where was your favorite place to shoot?
Whenever I’m out my eyes are always scouting locations because my grind is that serious, most of the time I will snap a photo of the location and save it for the perfect outfit.
I've always said that music and fashion go hand in hand. What's on your playlists right now?
Right now I’m obsessed with Future and Travis Scott
We live in a world where we are constantly being judged. Social media trolls are the worst and critique everything. How do you take them on?
I don’t! I know I’m putting myself on a platform to be judged and that’s that. My mantra is say what you want in these comments I’m slaying, you commenting.
What advice would you give to someone who's afraid to step out and dress for themselves instead of others?
At the end of the day you have to do what makes you happy at all times. When you step out into the world and aim to put your best foot forward style wise it’s has to be authentically yours or people are going to see right through it.

Amsterdam Fashion Illustrator Who Rediscovered her talent AFter 10 Years
Wriiten By: Dominique Overton
Fashion illustrations are such a rarity now a days, seeing how everyone has become overnight photographers due to social media. I believe there is way more simplicity in taking a photo with built in HD cameras on our cellphones and loads of picture editing apps. I can geniunly say that I respect the time and effort taken in capturing a fashion moment with just a pen and paper. Today I want to share with you a backstory on Amsterdam fashion illustrator, Lianne Middeldorp. While working a full time office job Lianne takes street style images we ohh and ahh over, and turn them into art we can one day place on our walls. How does she balance drawing and a full-time office job? How was she able to take a 10 year break from it all and overcome hard times? Continue reading on to see exactly how this rebel did it, Meet the rebel to know Lianne Middeldorp!
You are such a talented artists. When did you start drawing?
I started drawing when I was a kid and followed art classes during high school. When I went to university I completely forgot about drawing and didn't do any drawing for more than 10 years. Last year I went to a very rough time and on a day I started drawing again somewhere in 2015 to give me some distraction and ease my mind. Now I am totally hooked, more than ever.
There are a ton of things you could have illustrated, Why fashion?
For me, fashion illustrations are at the heart of fashion. If you look into an old Vogue magazine you will be happily surprised by the beautiful illustrations, they capture something 'magic' for me. It is great that my love for fashion and my imagination come together when using pen and paper.
You work a full time office job and create beautiful artwork on your free time. I also work an office job and manage a blog. How do you balance both work and sketching ?
Managing a busy office job next to my illustrations can sometimes be difficult, but luckily I see my illustrations as something I really love to do, you can say it is a passion. As soon as I got home, I get my stuff ready and start drawing. It is addicting in a good way. Since I am sharing my artwork online, I am even more encouraged and inspired to come up with new things and interact online with other art and fashion lovers.
Describe the perfect work environment. Personally I love to have music playing, a cup of my favorite coffee, and no one around to distract me. What about you ?
My perfect work environment is at home. I fully use my table, got my Spotify playlist ready, and a big pile of the latest magazines next to me to give me inspiration when I need it.
Every artists has a point in time where they aren't as motivated because of a lack of inspiration. How do you stay motivated? What inspires the art you create.
As mentioned, when I started to share my artwork online it gave me so much inspiration and motivation to keep on doing what i am doing. It is great to be inspired by others and share a passion. Also, I love to travel and wandering around in cities to get inspired by new locations and styles to draw. In addition, magazines, style blogs and fashion books are perfect sources when I lack inspiration.
Did anyone teach you how to draw or Are you self taught ?
Mostly I am self taught, but I started to take fashion illustration lessons in 2015 from Charlotte Greeven, a very talented fashion illustrator in Amsterdam. I am planning to take more lessons in the future to keep on track and learn more about different materials and techniques.
What do you use to create your illustrations ?
Good, solid paper, a sharp pencil and black fineliners are a must, but I am mostly in love with my copic markers and golden ballpoint pen. With my copic markers I can create very natural skintones, with the golden ballpoint I can glam everything up when I feel like it.
Are any of your illustrations for sale? If so where can your work be purchased?
At this point my illustrations are not for sale yet, but I am planning to launch my website in 2016 where I will sell my artwork as well, so stay tuned!
We originally met through Instagram, which shows the power of social media. How important would you say social media is for networking purposes?
I think social media is essential for both networking and sharing your artwork with the outside world. For me it was very nice to see that there are many like-minded people out there, sometimes on the other side of the world who share the same passion. It is great if you can meet and collaborate through social media.
Have you overcome any obstacles that would've come between your ability to draw ?
The funny thing is that I actually started drawing to overcome difficult obstacles in my life. At this point in time, things are at peace again and the most difficult thing now is to find a balance between work, drawing and social life. However I try not to be too hard on myself, if I don't find time to draw on a day, I try to make up for it later that week and plan some extra time for it. Usually that will do. Luckily my boyfriend, family and friends support me in my aspirations and that gives me a certain 'peace' to do my work.
What advice would you give someone who aspires to be an artist?
Just do it and don't be afraid to do what you love. For me it was really scary to share my illustrations, because you are always afraid of what people think. Some may like, some may not, but I learned that the most important thing is that you love what you do. And although I just started with my illustration adventure, I can say that I am in that place now.
Did You Like Lianne's Work?
If so then be sure to follow her on Instagram @liannemiddeldorp for more awesome artwork! Also her website www.cuplicake.com will be launching this year you don't want to miss out on it!
I recently watched a video by motivational speaker Eric Thomas, in which he covered the importance of making TODAY count. We often focus on the materialistic aspects of success rather than perfecting our skill today. Reality is the work we put in today will determine our quality of tomorrow. It took me a while to understand this and how precious life is. At any moment you can lose everything but if you find something you love to do, something that no matter what is falling apart around you this one thing makes you genuinely happy. Once you realize that you begin to look at things differently. The amount of effort you put into your dreams completely changes because it gives you that hunger you need in order to be successful. I try to constantly work on perfecting the small things because I'm aware of the snowball effect that comes with it. I read books, I watch videos, I study successful people, and I apply these things to what I'm doing. One question I ask myself on a daily basis is what can I do today to develop my skill? Make today count and most importantly have fun, It shouldn't feel like a chore.
Beauty is in the eye of the girl who knows how to beat her face, hahaha I got you. Enough joking around though because I have a serious deal you don't want to miss out on. I was recently contacted by Born Pretty Store to try some of their makeup products. I was really excited about trying out their makeup because I have been a customer for years. I originally heard of Born Pretty Store a few years back through KiraKiraNails YouTube channel. Although I knew of them because of their awesome nail products, I love working with companies I know and trust, so I was really looking forward in trying some of their products. Today I have 3 different items from their store to share with you all so lets do this! ( Did I mention this is my 1st beauty review ever!)
Since the very moment I glued on my very first pair of eyelashes I have been a sucker for them. Personally my favorite types of lashes are long, full, and whispie. Anyone who has a love for makeup knows that the lashes make all the difference to a look. You can wear nothing more than eyeliner and pop on a pair of bold lashes and you're good to go! One major issue that comes with lashes is the inability to apply them. I can't tell you how many times girls tell me they love my eyelashes and would love to wear them but they can't apply them. Whether you're a pro who wants to save some money or If you are a beginner to makeup I would highly recommend that you try out these box of lashes from Born Pretty Store. The box has a total of 5 pair of voluminous lashes for only $3.67! No that was not a typo and no they aren't on sale. Now I don't know where you live but most beauty stores sell just 1 pair of eyelashes cost around $2.49.
Lips have been the star of the show for the past year thanks to matte finish liquid lipsticks , and of course Kylie Jenner. I have collected a few and instantly loved them so it was a no brainer when I saw that Born Pretty Store had them in stock for only $3.59. I tried this really fun magenta liquid lipstick to be a bit daring and bend the rules a bit with it being Winter now. I did like the color a lot, but there was one issue with this product. I can tell that this product might have been sitting for a while because it was a bit clumpy and streaky. I gave it a shake and mixed the product back together and it swatched fine. If you do buy this product apply a similar a darker shade of pink/purple lip liner on the outer areas of your lip for a cool ombre look. Now, moving on what would a girl do with out her eyeliner? Probably freak out. Eyeliner is definitely a must have for me because you can do so much with it. The eyeliner I received from Born Pretty store is not only a gel liner but it comes with a angled eyeliner, mirror, and eye brow powder. If you are a girl on the go you are going to love this eyeliner. I really like the formula because how easily it glides on your skin which prevents "crows feet " aka wrinkles. I personally have really sensitive eyes so they tend to get really watery. One thing I noticed while wearing this liner is that it stayed put because it's waterproof so you don't have to worry about it bleeding. I almost forgot to mention that it only cost $3.16 so it works for any budget.
( Here is what the eyelashes, eyeliner, & eyebrow powder looks like on )

Bag Charms, The It Girl Accessory
I have to start this post off by saying that I haven't been this obsessed over an accessory for ages. I'm sure that you are already aware as to what that accessory is, and yes it's bag charms. I have seen them around a lot and had to fall for the hype on this one. It was about a year or so ago when I started noticing pom bag charms, and it was love at first site. I originally didn't purchase one because all the charms I saw were $300 or more, and I couldn't fathom splurging over something such small. I recently did some searching online and I found some extremely affordable bag charms that won't hurt your wallet. The websites above, except Nordstrom, ship worldwide. I have really been doing my best to only feature items that are accessible to all of my readers. I hope you enjoyed this post and give this a try!
