How To Wear Everything You Love
How many times have you went shopping and loved every single piece you purchased and couldn't wait to wear it ? Plenty I'm sure! You might have even looked in your wardrobe at all your favorite pieces and felt like a kid again, wanting to wear them all. I've always found it entertaining when parents let their kids dress themselves and it's not always the best turn out. Children usually toss on all their favorites like a tutu, a crown, rain boots, a shirt too small and they are ready to go! I was recently inspired by this scenario and decided why not wear all your faves at once. If you checked out my previous post I shared 2 of my fall essentials and confessed my love for this season. Suede skirts, Capes, Bucket bags, Felt hats are some of my current closet beloveds for Fall. I put this look together successfully pulling it off & the key to this is the colorway. I love sticking to neutrals because it makes it so much easier mixing and matching pieces. However, I love adding pops of color and bold prints to a look for added interest. Fashion should always make you feel like a kid playing dress up. I hope this post inspired you to bring out your inner child and toss on all your closet faves. I'm interested in seeing how it turns out, so If you do give this a try send me a picture in my e-mail via the contact page.
What A Time To Be Alive...& Blogging!
Happy 1 year anniversary, & Happy belated birthday to me. I turned 23 yesterday! Wow, I can't believe it's been a year already! Time really has flown by and I enjoyed every moment of it from laptops gone with the wind to building a bond with you all. I learned a lot in my first year of blogging and I'm happy some of you were able to experience that with me. However, if your new here no worries things are just getting started. I have so many upgrades awaiting to be published which is partially the cause of my recent absence. I remember around this time last year I had just lost my macbook with all my contact. I had video footage of a couple of interviews I did with a few designers on my new camera that was also stolen. I was so saddened but I couldn't give up on my dream. Autumn has always been my favorite season and I knew I wanted to launch my blog on the 1st day of Fall. I hopped on eBay and sought after a new laptop. During that time I wasn't able to spend a ton of money on a new macbook, so I settled for a Google Chromebook. I loved that laptop except for the fact I no longer had photoshop to edit images nor could I download it. Google had a ton of road blocks for me which sucked but actually turned out to be a good thing because I soon after rediscovered Polyvore. I then created looks on there and I didn't need photoshop afterall. I still wanted to take pictures and post them on the blog and decided to use my cellphone which also completely died on me 2 weeks after I launched the blog. I was lucky enough to have been given a iPhone by a good friend of mine, however I still didn't use my phone to take pictures. The camera on the phone had a glitch that showed a black line on all of my images. I still didn't let that stop me from publishing blog posts. If there is one piece of advice I can give anyone who reads this blog, feels like giving up on blogging, thinking about starting a blog, or anyone new to blogging, it would be to never give up. Keep an open mind and become a problem solver. I learned so many things that I would've never known had I not had a few bumps in the road.
Thank you all for supporting
Cheers to one year of a kick ass blog experience !
There is a saying if you stay ready, you don't have to get ready. Now is the time to start shopping for Fall because it's right around the corner. Fall is my personal favorite season of the year. Fun Fact: I launched this blog on the 1st day of Autumn last year September 23. The best thing about Fall is the clothes you can wear and I have some amazing essentials lined up for you all. This week I want to focus strictly on the key pieces you need to be the envy of the season. Things will begin to cool down this upcoing season ,so what better way to bundle up than a Bomber Jacket. Bombers made their way back into the scene last year & I must say I'm not tired of them yet. I love pieces that are very versatile like this jacket. You can wear a bomber jacket with everything from leather skirts, ripped denim, and even a dress. If you are having a date night you can wear a strapless midi dress, heels, and toss on a bomber jacket. If you are just hanging out with friends for a relaxing day you could wear it with a dress and sneakers like shown above. The next essential for fall would have to be the lovely suede skirt. There are any different lenghts available from mini to midi. I really love the suede skirts that have the button front detail, which gives you a seventies vibe. I would pair the mini suede skirt with a pair of knee high boots, a distressed graphic t tucked in, and toss on a leather jacket. If you are interested in purchasing these essentials I have gathered a couple of options for you below. Enjoy.
