How do you feel about travel sized products? Please share your thoughts below.
Only The Brave Blog was created to change perspective. I love showing people how to go against the ropes and question everything. I believe that there is always a better way to do things and you should know about them. There is the misconception about sample sized products, and the first thing people think is they are getting less. Personally I have used a ton of mini's and they've lasted me for up to 2 - 3 months. The longevity of a sample sized product all boils down to how frequently you use it. I want to encourage you to travel lightly and let your money stack high. When it comes to shopping for beauty products bigger isn't always better. I have fallen victim to trying the latest beauty product that turned out to be all hype. The most annoying thing is spending a ton of money on a product just be let down, and the worst part is not being able to return it. Granted some places will allow you to return products, but who really wants to go through all that trouble. If you do want to buy a product that everyone is raving about check if they offer it in a sample/travel size. Imagine all the different products you'll be able to try out. This method will help you can save yourself a ton of money in the long run. Earlier this year I heard of this awesome product called Glam Glow and at the time everyone was talking about it. I went online to Sephora and wanted to try it out but it retailed for $69. I wasn't willing to pay that much money for a facial mask, so I did a quick search and found a sample for only $14! Not only are travel sized products less expensive but they are perfect for the girl on the go. You can always throw them in your bag for on the go application. I am constantly in a hurry and sometimes I don't have time to do my makeup at home so I live for samples! I really don't like to carry around bulky makeup bags so I tend pack all of my mini's in a ziploc bag and toss it in my purse. I hope this shopping tip helps all my beauty lovers out there.

The ultiMate savings guide
One thing I know about you from reading this post is that you love to shop. I can also assume you love saving money. We share something in common and I just so happen to be the queen of scoring awesome deals. I have to admit that I have quite an addiction to shopping which tells you either I'm really wealthy, which I'm not, or I must really be good at scouting deals. I hope this post serves it's purpose and helps you save some money.
In-store Vs Online
Shopping in-store versus online makes all the difference when it comes to saving a few extra dollars. How many times have you went online and saw an amazing deal that wasn't offered in-store ? Countless! You can score so many awesome deals online. The other upside to shopping online is your ability to compare prices. Whenever I decide to do a bit of shopping I usually have multiple tabs open with different sites, the reason I do this is because many sites sell similar items. There has been times when I went on one website for a dress that costs $39.99 and went to another site that sold the same thing for only $19.99 with free shipping! I can't guarantee this will be the case all the time but if you spend a little extra time searching you are bound to find similar deals like this.
One of my favorite sites to use when I shop online would have to be E-bates! E-bates is a website that allows you to get cashback on all your favorite websites. You will be able to earn money while you shop and get exclusive deals and coupons. The site features your favorite online stores like Nordstrom, Sephora, Forever21, and many more. The best part about all of this is when you sign up as a member they offer you a $10.00 Gift card to a store of your choice. I know you can thank me later in the comments section below.
Don't be greedy
Affiliate & reward programs are a great way to reel in some extra cash as well. If you find a really awesome website share it with your friends. I don't encourage you to be spammy and just post links all over the place. You know your friends very well and maybe you are the fashionable deal queen of your group so why not give them a shot at some deals. Affiliate programs will give you your own discount code that you can share with your friends and give them an extra 15% off or more on their order. Now if you do want to share your discount with the masses then I would suggest signing up with a site called Commission Junction. The site allows you to sign up to an array of affiliate programs for all your favorite sites.
The Treasure is Yours
I am the youngest sibling of 4 girls which means I am quite fond of used clothing. I believe this is what made me fall in love with thrift stores so easily. Initially I shopped at thrift stores back when I was in highschool & I was pleased by how inexpensive the items were. However, I hated standing for hours shifting through racks of clothing. Since then Ebay has become my bestfriend it's like the Walmart of thrift stores except it's online. You can find countles deals on E-bay for literally anything! If you are more of an app shopper then I would suggest downloading an app called Poshmark. Poshmark is quite similar to Ebay except they offer newer trendy items.
Ok so maybe you don't like to shop online, I get it you don't like to wait for your items. I'm the same way at times so no worries I have a great tip for shopping in-store as well! The first obstacle you have to overcome is not buying the newest items. The truth is the sales racks have so much to offer you hunny so go there first! I really don't waste my time going to the racks with the newest stock because all of those items will go on sale in a couple weeks and that's when I pounce. I have bought things for as low as $3.00 in-store, so trust me on this one. Now let's say you do want to purchase a newer item & you just so happen to find a stain, tear, or flaw ask for a discount. Items that have flaws are a bit harder to sell, so asking for a discount really is actually helping the retailer. I usually like to speak to a manager in these types of situations rather than a sales associate because they are more willing to please the customer.

If I could describe my spending habits in one word it would be frugal. If I don't see why I need to buy something from someone else then I'll do it myself. There are countless women who spend so much money on getting their nails done especially in the summer time. I was suckered into the acrylic bi-weekly nail frenzy and I couldn't get over the damage my nails experienced. My nails looked amazing, but I just was fed up with how weak and dented they were in between appointments. I soon after decided I was going back to doing my own nails. I had so much fun doing my them myself and saved a ton of money. Do you love doing your own nails ? Great! I have created the ultimate summer nail guide for you with 31 days of pure nailspiration for beginners and pros. There are 31 nail designs with step by step tutorials in this slideshow below, one new design for each day.

It takes so much time and effort to curl my hair, so it would be nice if the hard work shows before I get to work. One of my biggest annoyances is curling my hair just for it to get wavy and frizzy. The ideal solution would be hair spray, but it makes my hair hard and sometimes white eek! I have been searching for some of the best products out to solve my problems. I needed something that would hold my curls, tame my frizz, and keep my hair soft. Thankfully I figured out a couple of different products and tricks to get the job done. Hope you find this helpful.
Long Lasting Curls ?
The Ultimate Hairspray To Make Your Curls Last All Day Is.....
Schwarzkopf Osis Session Hairspray Retails for $19.00 but I found it for only $14.39 on Sleekhair
Benefits: Non Stick Solution.
Protects against humidity.
Lightweight with a Strong Hold.
Keeps your hair soft.
Controls the frizz.
Works on thick and fine hair.
Here are 5 steps to making those curls last for days!
Step#1: Normally when I curl my hair I like a tight curl and to achieve that look I'll use a curling wand or curling iron. Once I unwind my hair from the curling iron I hold the hair in my hand for at least 15 seconds. This helps hold the heat.
Step#2: Take your hair and roll it towards your scalp. Use a loose bobby pins and pin your curl down. Repeat until your whole head is pinned down. This also allows your curls to cool in
Step#3: Allow your curls to cool down in the pin curls for at least 5 min depending on how loose or tight you want your curls to be. Take the pins out of your hair and let your curls fall down.
Step#4: Take your hairspray at least 10 inches away from your head and lightly spray your curls. Shake your curls out to add volume and body. Do not run your fingers through your hair this is what causes the frizz.
Step#5: Use a wide tooth comb to comb your hair into place, and now apply your final application of hairspray.
Tip: Make sure you wash your hair before you curl it. I've noticed curls last much longer on cleansed hair.
Hope this helps you all, Before you go what are some issues you have with your hair?

How Notes Help Bloggers Become Better
Last year I did a post on How To Blog On A Busy Schedule and one major tip I gave was to constantly brainstorm headlines. If you look at the text underneath that I mentioned bloggers should always keep a notebook. I can't stress enough how important it is to capture all of your ideas and write them down. No notebook? No problem. Every phone has a notes section or a recorder and you can capture your ideas there. Whether you realize it or not you have vital information surrounding you on social media, blogs, magazines, books, and the lists goes on. I'm such a firm believer in wealth is of the mind so reading books or blog tip based posts are a go to for me. My current read is The Personal MBA: Master The Art of Business by Josh Kaufman. Blogging is a business if you want it to be and this book has great tips on business no matter what you are pursuing. Anytime I pick up this book I have a notebook nearby to take notes and apply to my blog later. We all can learn so much from one another and help empower each other. If you come across information that you feel you could use to improve your blog please do. Studies show that taking notes helps you remember and makes the information stick. You are also able to keep track of all your ideas and acquired information to reference later. Now I must mention that taking notes is just like someone telling you something in person it's useless if you don't apply it. Be sure to use the information you acquire and don't let your current conditions hold you back. I too have faced plenty of adversities on my journey but I've learned how to work around them. I feel a lot more confident when I face challenges because I understand if there is a will then there is a way. I hope this blog tip was helpful, now go get a cute notebook and get to it !

Take Your Basics To The Next LeVel
Simplicity is so underrated, but when used properly it's highly appreciated. When I was in college I was a hard core streetwear type of girl which meant lots of graphic-t's and over the years my style has changed. I still do buy graphic-t's but I style them differently. You would be so surprised how something as simple as a t-shirt can look so high fashion and chic. Whether you want to look glam or casual the options are endless when it comes to rocking a graphic-t. T-shirts are the essential basic every trendsetting woman should own. I love wearing oversized graphic t's with highwaist jeans, it's the perfect combo. I am not a high heel type of girl (unless we will be sitting the whole time) , but I would wear a pair of platform heels to feminize the look. If you're hungry for a little style inspiration then feast on our lovely slideshow below and also follow our board on pinterest for more awesome ways to style graphic-t's.

E-mail Subscriptions Are Beneficial
Everytime you go to a new website you see a pop up for 15%off your first order, or some other incentive. A lot of people commonly click out of the pop up or click no thanks, Big MISTAKE. I'm not saying every pop up is worth opting in, but some of them are definitely worth it. Last weekend I was checking my e-mails as I always do and saw a e-mail from Married To The Mob in regards to a flash sale. They had items ranging from $5 - $10 ! I ended up buying some leggings and a bodysuit I had my eyes on for a while. The leggings were originally around $45 and the bodysuit was around $65 and I only paid $25 for both including shipping. This wasn't the first time I snagged some deals via e-mail subscription. I believe it was around December or January when I received a e-mail from Dime Piece LA about a massive sale they were having. The entire site was on sale I went to the site a couple of times and purchased items for as low as $10 and $12. Sales aren't the only thing to look forward too, I'm also first to know about new collections being released and local events. I think it's important for you to subscribe to brands that you love. If you are a blogger or have any kind of business you too should have a e-mail subscription. If you would like tips on how to go about your own e-mail subscription visit the contact page and let us know.

Makeup stains can ruin a nice outfit or not. This past Sunday I was doing my makeup and somehow managed to get foundation all over my favorite pair of jeans. I instantly panicked and my heart just dropped. I ran into my cabinet grabbed a face towel wet it with water, and poured a bit of liquid laundry detergent on it. This laundry detergent had a stain lifter in it thank goodness. I then began to wipe the spot in circular motions hoping the foundation would disappear, and it did! Words can not explain how happy I was, I did have to scrub the spot for a couple of minutes that were well worth it. If you haven't gotten make-up on your clothes yourself, maybe you found foundation on a piece of clothing you were going to purchase. One time I found this cute top from Topshop and I was so disappointed when I saw this huge make-up stain on the front of the shirt. These two incidents made me think about how many of you guys may have dealt with this in the past. Save your wardrobe with this amazing make-up eraser tips!
