Friends and family are very important to us all, but how do you know when a relationship is no good ? How do you handle toxic relationships? Over the years I have had to let go of a lot of friends and yes even family that weren't any good for me. It was very difficult, but I later felt the difference it made in my life. Although we care a lot about these people we must understand the importance of healthy relationships. There is this shockingly true statement that you become the 5 people you hang around the most. Ask yourself how does this person influence you? You don't have to always completely cut people out of your life, unless you feel its necessary. Instead, simply spend less time around them and limit the contact you have with these people. Do your very best to surround yourself with others who share the same interests in life. If you want to be a entrepreneur then you should join a meetup group. I discovered this site called Meetup a couple of years ago. This site is like facebook for events, there are tons of different groups to choose from. If you are an aspiring designer, a female entrepreneur, or if you want to find some hiking buddies there is a group for you. I have met so many great people from the site, and it's so awesome to spend time with people that get you. Don't be afraid to raise your standards and hangout with people who are on your level. People will say that you've changed and indeed you will, but for the better. If you are making any mistake it's yours to make and for you to learn.
