The ultiMate savings guide
Shopping in-store versus online makes all the difference when it comes to saving a few extra dollars. How many times have you went online and saw an amazing deal that wasn't offered in-store ? Countless! You can score so many awesome deals online. The other upside to shopping online is your ability to compare prices. Whenever I decide to do a bit of shopping I usually have multiple tabs open with different sites, the reason I do this is because many sites sell similar items. There has been times when I went on one website for a dress that costs $39.99 and went to another site that sold the same thing for only $19.99 with free shipping! I can't guarantee this will be the case all the time but if you spend a little extra time searching you are bound to find similar deals like this.
One of my favorite sites to use when I shop online would have to be E-bates! E-bates is a website that allows you to get cashback on all your favorite websites. You will be able to earn money while you shop and get exclusive deals and coupons. The site features your favorite online stores like Nordstrom, Sephora, Forever21, and many more. The best part about all of this is when you sign up as a member they offer you a $10.00 Gift card to a store of your choice. I know you can thank me later in the comments section below.
Don't be greedy
Affiliate & reward programs are a great way to reel in some extra cash as well. If you find a really awesome website share it with your friends. I don't encourage you to be spammy and just post links all over the place. You know your friends very well and maybe you are the fashionable deal queen of your group so why not give them a shot at some deals. Affiliate programs will give you your own discount code that you can share with your friends and give them an extra 15% off or more on their order. Now if you do want to share your discount with the masses then I would suggest signing up with a site called Commission Junction. The site allows you to sign up to an array of affiliate programs for all your favorite sites.
The Treasure is Yours
I am the youngest sibling of 4 girls which means I am quite fond of used clothing. I believe this is what made me fall in love with thrift stores so easily. Initially I shopped at thrift stores back when I was in highschool & I was pleased by how inexpensive the items were. However, I hated standing for hours shifting through racks of clothing. Since then Ebay has become my bestfriend it's like the Walmart of thrift stores except it's online. You can find countles deals on E-bay for literally anything! If you are more of an app shopper then I would suggest downloading an app called Poshmark. Poshmark is quite similar to Ebay except they offer newer trendy items.
Ok so maybe you don't like to shop online, I get it you don't like to wait for your items. I'm the same way at times so no worries I have a great tip for shopping in-store as well! The first obstacle you have to overcome is not buying the newest items. The truth is the sales racks have so much to offer you hunny so go there first! I really don't waste my time going to the racks with the newest stock because all of those items will go on sale in a couple weeks and that's when I pounce. I have bought things for as low as $3.00 in-store, so trust me on this one. Now let's say you do want to purchase a newer item & you just so happen to find a stain, tear, or flaw ask for a discount. Items that have flaws are a bit harder to sell, so asking for a discount really is actually helping the retailer. I usually like to speak to a manager in these types of situations rather than a sales associate because they are more willing to please the customer.
