My favorite fashion comeback this year are the gladiator sandals. I have to admit that although I'm happy for the comeback, I'm also very disappointed in the new designs. I remember a couple of years ago how much I loved the strappy gladiator sandals. You can buy a pair now but they don't look the same, and I understand that things are always changing I'm just afraid this time It wasn't for the better. The newer designs consist of a string that laces up the leg and I hate it. The other day I passed by this store that actually had the original style gladiator sandals ,but I didn't have time to go into the store. Later on that day I went online to see if they had my size and how much they cost. You will not believe how much these sandals cost, $125! I was in disbelief that anyone would charge that much for a pair of sandals. One thing about me is I'm always determined to find a good deal. My whole shopping motto is their is always someone that's selling it cheaper & better. I then began my online hunt for the original styled gladiator sandals and I was once again shocked by what I saw. The only sites that had what I was looking for were selling these sandals for $100 - $500. On the contrary you can buy the new ugly design for as low as $10 practically anywhere online. I'm beginning to wonder if this is some horrible fashion business plan to raise the value of these sandals by creating limited access, which makes a higher price tag reasonable. Companies know that if you limit the availability of a product you automatically raise the value of it . Unfortunately for the consumer this strategy gives the company the freedom to slap on whatever price they want on the items you desire the most.
